league of conservation voters
The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is the political voice for the environment in the United States, advocating for sound environmental policies and helping elect pro-environmental candidates who will adopt and implement these policies.
LCV partnered with Element in the 2006 election cycle to target competitive races across the country and conduct advertising campaigns to help elect pro-environment candidates. Through print, radio, TV and online advertising, LCV had a significant impact on races across the country in addition to heloing flip control of the US Senate, Element worked in Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington State. LCV's work was especially critical to Jon Tester's victory over 18 year incumbent Conrad Burns for the U.S. Senate seat in Montana as well as Jim Webb's victory over George Allen in Virginia. Both Tester and Webb won the election with razor thin margins of less than one percent.
Element developed an environmental message centered around renewable energy, linking the issue to new jobs, homeland security and American innovation.
